Jaundice is one of the most common conditions needing medical attention in newborn babies. Once
jaundice is recognised, the application will help you assess the need for phototherapy using the UK
National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

By entering the value of bilirubin, the gestational age and age of the baby, the application accurately
plots the bilirubin level on the appropriate NICE graph. The infants risk line is clearly marked and the
need for treatment is clearly indicated.
